Immigration
We are a country of immigrants who possess the ability and skills to fulfill the social and economic needs of our society with vitality and vibrancy. Such is our uniqueness that no other country can successfully assimilate immigrants as we do.
We must encourage and incentivize the use of efficiency and of alternative sources of energy—for example, the spread of solar roofs to every house and building, the use of hybrid technology in cars and other fuel powered engines, and the use of Liquid Natural Gas in freight trucks and ships.
- We shall have a compassionate immigration policy whereby all undocumented workers who have been present in the US for a certain amount of time are given a path to citizenship.
- We shall help create economic opportunities for countries south of the border and around the world, recognizing the fact that we will always have illegal immigrants.
- We shall have a temporary migrant workers program to meet the needs of our economy.
